2. Burning House project: If your house was burning, what would you take with you?
It's a conflict between what's practical, valuable and sentimental.
What you would take reflects your interests, background and priorities. Think of it as an interview condensed into one question. A snapshot as to whats important to you at this moment in time.

Article about the Burning House Project
Spend 5 minutes gathering the items around your room and house you would take with you. Use whatever camera you have handy. A camera phone should suffice for this assignment.
Lay the items out on a neutral background (floor, bedspread, rug etc) with natural light, as natural light will be warmer and your images will have better exposure. I recommend not taking these photos in the evening in artificial light.

3. A day in your life
Photograph yourself/your life for a period of 12 hours, starting from when you wake up until you go to sleep. You can be methodical about this and set an alarm on your phone to go off every single hour to remind you to take a photo of whatever is around you, what you see when you wake up, what you eat for breakfast etc. You can also set your phone on a timer and photograph yourself in your surroundings. At the end, you should have a series of images that summarizes the activities that make up your day. Try not to stage anything and just think about this as authentic snapshots of your life in a normal day.
