Painting fonts with Silhouette poster
Students are introduced to the art of typography in this project. This is an exploration of pairing fonts to personality attributes and their visual relation to each other. Students will use two personality traits that epitomize themselves and pair those with their silhouette to start exploring typography and its intersection with design.
We will review the idea of alignment and how typefaces can represent certain personality attributes. Using two of their personality traits, students pick fonts that represent these traits and pair them together along with a silhouette of themselves we trace from a photo in Illustrator. |
