Digital Art Z Block
In this 10 week course, we will spend 7 weeks working on a surreal composite project. The remaining 3 weeks will be for you to work on remaining free choice projects. You will each write up a proposal of your projects and what you intend to create, your steps and document your weekly progress.

Photoshop warm-up
Inspired by Giuseppe Arcimboldo
Rudolph II of Habsburg as Vertumnus by the Milanese painter Giuseppe Arcimboldo (1590)
Assignment Requirements:
- Collage of a face created in Adobe Photoshop from a minimum of 10 different photos of fruit and vegetables
- Uses SCALE, size variation, rotation, and overlapping to create the semblance of a human face
- Clean Workmanship:
- backgrounds neatly removed and clean edges
- image is not pixelated – you have properly searched for LARGE sized images using Google Images
- Create A4 template in PS as your base layer. Optional to use a background image/color.
- Save your work as 2 file types: Photoshop file (.PSD) and export as a JPG file (.jpg) and place it into your personal folder on our shared drive.
